In Russia, it is generally accepted that Kazakhstani vodka is good, but this is a banal misconception. In Kazakhstan, as in Russia, there is good and bad vodka, there is expensive and cheap. In essence, there is no difference. But yes, they try to bring good products from Kazakhstan to Russia, but sometimes you come across "all sorts of stuff", and we will talk about this in this article.

This is an unremarkable glass container - low, pot-bellied... On the bottle at the top of the TM - a relief inscription TAU, which means mountain, mountains... The neck is covered with blue film...

Label on the conditional front side. Dark blue, with silvery and easily erasable inscriptions... Trademark icon and name - Lights. Vodka. Manufactured at the Shymkent (hello to the Russian language!) liquor and vodka factory "TAU", Kazakhstan. From wheat alcohol "Lux" of the Southern region. Strength 38% 450 ml.

Usually this information is placed on the back, second label... It is made of transparent film and is difficult to read because of this. But the film is self-adhesive and can be removed. That's what I do - look at its scanned image.

Ingredients: corrected drinking water, rectified ethyl alcohol "Lux" from food raw materials (wheat), alcohol infusion of oatmeal. Manufacturer: TOO "Eurasia Elite", Kazakhstan, Shymkent, Karatau district, Tassay residential area, building 11.

Open and try

So, there is a "strap" on the neck of the film - pull it in a circle and tear off the upper part of the film. Under it we see an ordinary cork made of synthetic material... Of course, there is no dispenser here. On the one hand, this is even a plus. The cost price is lower. We pour some contents into a faceted glass - like this, stylish, from the 70s of the last century... In appearance, of course, it is a transparent liquid.

Smell - you can feel the alcohol, in general, as it should be - nothing foreign is felt. Although, I have a seasonal exacerbation of chronic sinusitis with all the resulting disgusting circumstances... so I may be wrong about the smell.

Taste - yes... not the best. The alcohol is obvious and with traces of masking with something sweet (probably sugar syrup), which is not indicated in the composition. Hangover - here, if you follow the norm and normally snack, do not mix - everything is more or less normal. That is, of course you can feel it, but not critically. Still, both in degrees and in volume, we took less...

My conclusion: Kazakhstani vodka TAU Lights is a budget offer, but not poison. In a series of other similar... at an affordable price. Here it costs about 1500-1600 KZ tenge, which is about $3.5...

Someone will probably put this vodka on the New Year's table, maybe even me - depending on the money... but honestly, I would like something more presentable.
